 The Carolina Inn The closest hotel to Carrboro is The Carolina Inn (919-933-2001), which is a short jaunt down the road, on the corner of Cameron, Pittsboro and Columbia streets in Chapel Hill. Besides being close (I used to walk there every day), this place is really nice. I ran the bar there for thirteen years, so I should know! The next closest place is the Franklin Hotel, also in Chapel Hill. Beyond that is your usual string of hotel and motel chains in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Durham, and the rest of the Triangle.
