Pictures of Carrboro as it once was...
is a slideshow that includes 28 pictures of people and places,
part of private collections belonging to Richard Ellington and Ruth Stroud.
Miss Ruth passed away in 2005, and we are grateful for her contribution,
and for the opportunity to have known her. Many thanks to both Ruth
and Richard, for sharing a glimpse of the people and places
that made Carrboro what it is today, a great place to be.
Recognizable buildings that still exist can be seen in the background
of some photos, including Town Hall, the Century Center, and Carr Mill. |
