While clouds loomed over Town Hall most of the day, the predicted storm never materialized, but did provide a wonderful breeze for most of the day. As the bands played on the stage in front of Town Hall, the kids played on the Town Commons field, while the sun appeared in and out through the threatening gray clouds above. All was well for the Village Band, Gilbert Neal, Skeedaddle, Nicki Meets the Hibachi, Will McFarland, and Tim Smith, the fabulous musical line up. There were fire engine and firehouse tours, a public works display, an APS Drill Team performance, poetry, crafts for kids, games, Carrboro history, a visit from Mother Goose, a free plant exchange and the book and bake sale to raise funds for the Carrboro Branch Library.
